Coaches

Overview

The Coaching program within the Markham Minor Lacrosse Assocation is a very critical component in order to provide high quality programs to develop Lacrosse skills to players.

Coaching Requirments

House League coaches may attend certification clincs but are not required to do so at this time. Rep coaches in their 1st year of coaching must have either Level 1 Theory or Level 1 Technical. Rep coaches in subsequent years must have both Level 1 Theory and Level 1 Technical (Level 1 Practical is received after 1 full season of coaching upon recommendation from MMLA.

Please review the attached OLA Offence/Defence Policy since the use of the Offence/Defence coaching tactic IS illegal in Minor Lacrosse starting the 2008 for Bantam and below. Review OLA Offence/Defence Policy

2008 Coaching Clinics

The 2008 Coaching Clinics have been announced and are OLA Coaching Clinics

2008 Season

The 2008 season is in the planning stages. MMLA is currently accepting applications for House League and Rep coaching positions. MMLA will reimburse coaches the ceritification fees once they have completed as season of coaching in Markham.
